How to Apply for Homecare?
You can apply for Homecare Services if you are at home, in hospital or in a Nursing Home and want to return home.
HSE HOMECARE
The HSE’s Home Support Services are individualized packages of community-based supports aimed at helping older people to remain living in their own home for as long as possible. Home Support Services are funded by the State, and can be delivered free of charge to you by Approved Providers such as Home Instead. There is no means test or income assessment.
- You can apply to the HSE for a homecare package. Click here to learn more and get an application form.
- Once approved, you can choose to have Manor Homecare as your preferred provider.
- The HSE will inform us of your wish and we will contact you to arrange an assessment.
PRIVATE HOMECARE
- You can apply directly to us if you wish and fund the homecare yourself.
- The Revenue Commissioners allow you to claim tax relief at the top rate of tax on home care costs. This will reduce the cost of the service provided and may be claimed immediately in your weekly or monthly tax credits, or at the end of the year.
- Our dedicated team will talk you through the process and assist you when competing the relevant forms.
